Staring Into Darkness (The Darkness Stares Back) LYRICS
(Music and Lyrics by Camille and Kennerly Kitt)

Have you ever had that feeling
Staring into the dark?
Do you know that feeling
That Darkness has its mark?

Have you ever felt the Darkness
Staring back at you?
Have you ever had that feeling?
I have known it too

(Chorus)
When Darkness looms above
And Darkness waits ahead
The hairs upon your neck stand tall
Your heart is filled with dread
The humming comes from you
Or does it come from me?
Or does it come from something else
Neither of us can see?

Have you ever heard that whisper
When walking in the night?
The whisper no one else can hear
That fills your heart with fright?

Have you ever felt the touch
Of something you can’t see?
You feel within that when you run
Its soul is filled with glee?

(Chorus)

Has Darkness had that feeling
You’re watching in the dark?
Does it know that feeling
That you now have your mark?

Has the Darkness ever felt
You staring back, now Seeing?
Has it ever had that feeling?
Now Darkness knows it too
