Welcome to Your Wake LYRICS
(Music and Lyrics by Camille and Kennerly Kitt)
(Chorus)
Welcome to your wake
Oh goodness, good to see you here
We thought you might be late
Your friends have all been gathered near
Welcome to your wake
The graves are dug, ready for you
We thought you might be late
Because it seems that you had not a clue
My poor little souls
We hope that you will smile
My poor little Seers
Now stay with us awhile
My poor little souls
You thought that you could fight
My poor little Seers
We greet you with delight
(Chorus)
Gathered figures, haunted bog
Ghostly lights, thickening fog
Taste of sorrow, smell of death
Sound of fright is bated breath
My poor little souls
You thought your harps could stave
My poor little Seers
From going to your grave
My poor little souls
The bells now chime for two
My poor little Seers
Your coffins wait for you
Welcome to your wake
Oh goodness, good to see you here
We thought you might be late
Your friends have all been gathered near
Welcome to your wake
The graves are dug, ready for you
We thought you might be late
But it seems you have a date with fate
