Nevo David’s SaaS was stuck… until he started building for AI agents.
In this episode of The Next New Thing, Andrew Warner talks with Nevo David, the creator of Postiz, about how his revenue jumped to $45K+ MRR after a surprising shift: he stopped building primarily for humans and started building for agents.
Postiz began as a simple open-source social media scheduler — a crowded market with dozens of competitors. But Nevo found a “blue ocean” by leaning into open source and by quickly adapting to emerging AI workflows.
First came integrations with automation tools like Zapier, which helped users schedule content automatically and dramatically reduced churn.
Then came the real breakthrough.
When AI agent tools like OpenClaw began gaining traction, Nevo realized something important: agents need software that’s easy for them to operate programmatically.
Instead of optimizing only for APIs and human interfaces, he built a CLI (command-line interface) version of Postiz designed specifically for AI agents. The CLI dramatically reduces token usage, simplifies commands, and allows agents to interact with the product far more efficiently than sending long JSON API requests.
The result?
Developers building AI agents started using Postiz as the easiest way to publish content automatically — including one viral example where an OpenClaw agent named “Larry” generated TikTok slideshows that racked up massive views.
Nevo believes this pattern will only grow: future startups will increasingly design their products with CLIs and agent-friendly interfaces from day one.
This conversation explores what it looks like to build software in a world where AI agents — not just humans — are the primary users.

Most people are using Claude Co-Work wrong—and getting maybe 10% of its actual value.
In this episode of The Next New Thing, Andrew Warner sits down with Corey Ganim to fix that.
Instead of treating Claude like a chatbot, Corey shows how to turn it into a true agent by properly onboarding it—giving it context about you, your business, your tools, and how you work.
He shares a simple skill that walks you through the entire setup in about 15 minutes, creating the exact files most people skip: your brand voice, working style, personal context, and system instructions.
The difference is dramatic.
Without onboarding, AI outputs sound generic.
With it, everything—from LinkedIn posts to workflows—starts to feel like it was written by you.
This episode is a step-by-step look at how to actually unlock Claude Co-Work, not just use it.

“Years and years of marketing work can now be done in a single week by one person.”
That’s not hype. In this episode, Andrew Warner sits down with Corey Haines, founder of Conversion Factory, to show exactly how AI agents can replace massive chunks of traditional marketing execution — from SEO to email to analytics to paid ads.
Corey live-builds a marketing engine for a brand-new AI concierge business, starting from a single-page site and turning it into a scalable, SEO-driven growth machine. Using Claude Code and his own structured “marketing skills,” he demonstrates how founders can:
- Launch full Next.js websites from scratch
- Create conversion-optimized landing pages
- Generate programmatic SEO pages at scale
- Build automated email nurture sequences
- Run SEO audits that used to cost tens of thousands of dollars
- Connect analytics, attribution, and paid ads — without an engineering team
The key shift? AI isn’t just helping write copy anymore. It’s executing strategy, installing infrastructure, and making technical changes across your codebase.
This episode is especially relevant for SaaS founders who love building — but struggle with distribution. Corey shows how marketing can now be treated like software: modular, repeatable, and automated.

What's really happening inside the Apple and OpenAI fight over personal computing?
The common story is that Apple fell behind on models, but the real question is who ends up holding the work you build up over months.
In this video, I share the inside scoop on what Apple shipped and what it means for who you pay:
- Why the fight is over your working context and your history
- How Apple's fine print sets up a charge for expanded AI access
- What Google gains by supplying Apple while competing through Gemini
- Where local compute on the device changes what developers can attempt
Apple now has a credible path to keeping personal AI centered on the device, and it still has to earn the trust that decides where your work lives.

Lyrics:
I stopped drinkin’ light beer
Started mixin’ me some whiskey and coke
I gave up cigarettes ‘cause I found me somethin’ better to smoke
I quit that local bar
‘Cause I found me a honky tonk scene
I’m just a good ol’ boy lookin’ for the next new thing
I ain’t a do right
Walk the line
Nine to five same routine
Hell I’m an all night
Bonafide good time know what I mean
I’m just a good ol’ boy lookin’ for the next new thing
Said the neighbors called the cops last night ‘bout a quarter to three
Here come the headlights up the drive
Blue lights lookin’ for me
Oh he said “buddy whatcha doin’”
I said “don’t you throw your book at me”
I’m just a good ol’ boy lookin’ for the next new thing
Lord I ain’t a do right
Walk the line
Nine to five same routine
Hell I’m an all night
Bonafide good time know what I mean
I’m just a good ol’ boy lookin’ for the next new thing
I ain’t a do right
Walk the line
Nine to five same routine
Hell I’m an all night
Bonafide good time know what I mean

What happens when you stop hiring people — and instead hire AI agents that manage each other?
In this episode of The Next New Thing, Andrew Warner interviews Bhanu Teja P founder of SiteGPT, who built an autonomous AI “marketing team” made up of specialized agents that plan, communicate, review work, and ship improvements — without human micromanagement.
Bhanu doesn’t run these agents on a fleet of computers. He runs everything on a single VPS. No Mac minis. No local machines. Just a coordinated system of Claude-powered agents that talk to each other through a shared dashboard, assign tasks, create deliverables, review work, and escalate decisions when needed.
SiteGPT is already at $200K ARR, and these agents are actively driving marketing, product improvements, SEO, content, design, and analytics — while Bhanu steps in only when judgment or prioritization is required.
This episode is a rare, concrete look at what agentic workflows actually look like in the real world — beyond demos and hype.

Andrew Warner sits down with Matt Pocock to learn how his popular AI skills help coding agents plan better, build more reliably, and improve their own workflows.
Matt’s Skills: https://github.com/mattpocock/skills/
Andrew Warner talks with Matt Pocock about the skills he uses to get better results from coding agents, including his popular Grill Me, Grill With Docs, To Spec, To Ticket, Implement, Code Review, Writing for Agents, and Teach skills. Matt explains why developers should align with an agent before building, how low-fidelity planning can prevent expensive mistakes, how specs and tickets allow large projects to span multiple context windows and agents, and how workflows can be automated with tools like Sandcastle. They also discuss pruning unnecessary instructions from skills, removing "no-ops," maintaining a shared vocabulary with agents, and using a stateful teaching skill that learns how you learn.
00:00 - Grill Me: Align with your coding agent before starting the work.
02:42 - Low-Fidelity Planning: Start simple before committing to a full implementation.
04:30 - Pre-Alignment: Catch requirements and design problems before they become expensive.
05:06 - Security Review: Compare a general Claude Code review with the Grill Me workflow.
05:42 - Grill Me Questions: Define the adversary, assets, scope, and deliverable before reviewing.
07:03 - Custom Skills: Why a small reusable skill can encode a process you repeat.
08:06 - Agent Alignment: Surface priorities and assumptions that the agent cannot infer on its own.
09:27 - Grill Me Skill: See how Matt's 22-line skill works behind the scenes.
12:45 - Skill Workflow: Start with Grill Me, then move from specs to tickets, implementation, and review.
15:09 - Shared Vocabulary: Use consistent terminology so agents understand your project more reliably.
16:48 - Implement & Review: Build, commit, and automatically review completed work.
17:24 - Specs & Tickets: Break large features into manageable pieces across multiple context windows.
18:18 - Multi-Agent Development: Assign tickets to different agents or Claude Code tabs.
19:30 - Sandcastle: Orchestrate agents by looping through tickets and clearing context between tasks.
21:54 - Writing for Agents: Improve the skills and instructions you give to AI agents.

Andrew sat down with Shashank, founder of API.market, who built a marketplace serving more than 13,000 users and generates over $100K/year while relying heavily on AI agents to run day-to-day operations. From podcast outreach and LinkedIn engagement to hiring, seller acquisition, finance, and project management, Shashank shows how he uses OpenClaw agents to automate much of his business.
Instead of treating AI as a simple assistant, Shashank built a network of specialized agents with their own memory, tools, inboxes, and responsibilities. These agents find podcast opportunities, manage LinkedIn relationships, recruit candidates, forecast business performance, and coordinate work across the company using Discord, Trello, Gmail, and custom workflows.
The real shift is moving from using AI for individual tasks to building systems of agents that can operate independently, collaborate with each other, and continuously move work forward with minimal human intervention.

An AI agent made $177,000 running its own business—and then got interviewed about it.
In this episode of The Next New Thing, Andrew Warner does something unusual: he interviews Felix, an autonomous OpenClaw agent, before talking to its human co-founder, Nat Eliason.
Felix explains how it operates, where it’s actually autonomous (and where it’s not), and how it manages real revenue streams—from selling products to handling customer support. Then, Nat breaks down how the system works behind the scenes: how Felix launches products, builds marketplaces, manages other agents, and continuously spins up new businesses.
You’ll see how a simple experiment—“build something overnight and sell it”—turned into a multi-product ecosystem including PDFs, marketplaces, services, and agent-native tools.
The bigger idea: we’re moving toward a world where AI agents are not just tools—they’re economic actors.

A consulting business doing over $35 million in portfolio revenue isn't using AI to write emails—they're using it to completely rethink how sales works.
In this episode of The Next New Thing, Andrew Warner sits down with Matt Symes, founder of Levership, to break down the AI workflows his team uses to find highly targeted prospects, build better outreach, and prepare for every sales conversation. Instead of relying on generic prompts or massive lead databases, Matt shows how he uses Perplexity Computer, Model Council, and OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) to generate precise prospect lists, create "warm collisions" instead of cold outreach, and automatically prepare detailed dossiers before every meeting.
The real shift is that AI isn't replacing salespeople—it's helping them think better. By combining research, reasoning, and repeatable workflows, AI becomes a strategic partner that helps teams build trust faster, personalize outreach at scale, and spend more time having meaningful conversations instead of searching for information.
