Dan Henry is an entrepreneur and sales expert who says he's generated over $45 million in business by mastering one skill: selling.

But before the millions, the luxury lifestyle, and his success in Dubai, he spent seven years delivering pizza.

One freezing night in Chicago, he climbed 15 flights of stairs to deliver an order, only to be left without a tip.

Back home, his girlfriend had packed her bags and told him he was going nowhere in life.
That was when Dan realized nobody was coming to save him. He had to become someone different.

He started studying sales, developing valuable skills, and learning how to communicate in a way that made people buy.

Years later, he'd generated his first $10 million without building an Instagram or YouTube following.

In this episode of the School of Hard Knocks podcast, Dan breaks down how he rebuilt his focus, scaled an offer from $200K to $950K per month in four months, and learned to sell $200K coaching days.

Ari Rastegar didn’t start by building the tallest tower in Dallas.
He started working at Johnny Rockets, scraping together tips, and wondering how the people around him were getting rich.

Growing up just outside wealth and never inside it, he learned early that proximity alone doesn’t change your life. Vision does.

That gap between where he was and what he saw pushed him to law school, his first $3,000 real estate deal, and eventually a multi-billion-dollar portfolio reshaping entire city skylines.

In this episode, Ari breaks down how failure became his greatest advantage, why a billion-dollar valuation doesn’t mean cash in the bank, and how zoning, timing, and long-term thinking separate real investors from everyone else.

He shares the story behind writing himself a $1 billion check at 23, carrying it for 15 years, and why most people are already too late by the time they think an opportunity looks “safe.”

This isn’t a get-rich-quick story.
It’s a lesson in patience over hype, anticipation over reaction, and building the future instead of chasing the present.

Jason Mickool was never built to be an employee.

He dropped out of college, got fired repeatedly, watched multiple early businesses fail, and eventually found himself sitting with his wife wondering what came next.

Her answer changed everything: stop asking someone else for an opportunity and bet on yourself.

From a kitchen table, Jason built Florida Financial Advisors into a major financial services platform spanning hundreds of advisors and locations across the country.

After building substantial enterprise value and selling part of the company, Jason remained an owner — and today, he’s focused on building businesses, developing leaders, and helping the next generation think differently about ownership.

In this episode, Jason breaks down why he believes paychecks create ceilings, why ownership changes everything, how he thinks about real estate and business, and why the people around you can determine the level you reach.

Brent is one of the most relentless and brutally honest entrepreneurs you’ll ever hear from. A ninth-grade dropout who spent nights sleeping in a garage, Brent had nothing going for him until he discovered oil. At just 26, he risked everything on his first well, lost nearly $2 million, and even got sued for millions more. Most people would have quit. Brent didn’t.

Through sheer grit and obsession, he fought his way back. From mowing lawns and working $23-an-hour jobs on oil rigs to building and flipping wells, Brent turned his failures into the foundation of an empire. Today, he’s built multi-million-dollar businesses in oil, real estate, and beyond, pushing toward nine figures and proving that one brutal lesson can change your entire life.

In this episode, Brent opens up about losing it all, betting on himself, and why the fastest way to success is getting in the right rooms with the right people. His story is raw, unapologetic, and packed with lessons on resilience, risk, and building real wealth.

Peter Tuchman is known around the world as the “Einstein of Wall Street.”

But before the fame, the cameras, and the billion-dollar trading days, he was a $47-a-week runner on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.

In 1987, he stood inside Black Monday as panic ripped through the market and traders watched fortunes disappear in real time.

He saw greed destroy men, watched crashes break portfolios, and lived through every major financial storm of the modern era.

Today, he trades between $500 million and $1 billion a day and works alongside his son as one of the last father-son teams on the NYSE floor.

In this episode, Peter breaks down market crashes, retail trading, greed, investing young, Jordan Belfort, SpaceX, AI, and why “buy stocks, not stuff” may be the simplest wealth lesson of all.

Coca-Cola made him RICH 🤯 I interviewed business legend Jesse Itzler in Atlanta and I asked him how he became wealthy. Since he sold a company to Warren Buffet, I asked him what he learned from doing business with him. I also asked him the number one thing he looks for in a business before he invests in them. Lastly, I asked him if he thinks everyone is built for entrepreneurship and his best advice for the younger generation. #wealth #entrepreneur #financialfreedom #motivation

He hit a point most people hide from: $78 in his bank account and nowhere to run.
No degree. No mentors. No safety net. Both parents gone. Just pressure and a business bleeding every month.
While everyone else would’ve called it “a sign,” Vic treated it like a contract: double down or disappear.
He learned the ugly truth early—success teaches nothing, but suffering forces you to evolve.
Years later, the moment finally came: a competitor collapsed… and he moved faster than everyone.
He didn’t buy them. He took their sales force, flipped the market, and became the biggest in the country.
This episode is about speed, service, and the mindset that never relaxes—even after the jet, the Rolls, the wins.
Because the real game isn’t getting rich. It’s staying sharp when you finally have something to lose.

Robert Croak didn’t invent a revolutionary technology.
He spotted a tiny shaped rubber band at a trade show in China.
Most people would have ignored it.
But Croak saw something different... a toy kids could wear, trade, and collect.
The idea became Sillybandz, one of the biggest toy crazes of the 2010s.
What started with four cases and 17 employees exploded into a global phenomenon with over 3,200 employees and billions of bands sold in 45 countries.
But behind the viral product was years of failure, risk, and relentless execution.
In this episode, Croak breaks down how weird ideas become massive businesses, why most entrepreneurs fail, and the wealth habits that separate the rich from everyone else.
Sometimes the biggest empires start with the simplest ideas.

Bob Duggan is 82 years old, worth more than $10 billion, and responsible for one of the most extraordinary biotech turnarounds in modern business.

But his story didn’t begin with billions.

He grew up in an 800 sq ft home, worked for $1.50 an hour, started investing with just $5,000, and spent decades learning how businesses actually win.

Then life hit him harder than any deal ever could: his son Damien developed glioblastoma and eventually passed away.

That loss pulled Bob deeper into healthcare and ultimately toward a struggling biotech company whose value had nearly collapsed.

He backed the science, challenged conventional thinking, helped push the company forward and in 2015 it sold for $21 billion, reportedly making Bob roughly $2 billion in a single day.

In this episode, Bob shares his journey from a modest childhood and early investing career to building businesses across food, robotics, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.

Ronnen Harary helped build one of the most powerful toy empires in the world. He started at 23 with handmade Earth Buddies, selling them on the streets before landing Kmart.

Then came the failures: dead products, empty shelves, missed opportunities, and the billion-dollar mistake of passing on Beyblade.

But that failure became the lesson that built Bakugan.
And Bakugan became the bridge to Paw Patrol.

From toys to TV shows to digital games, Ronnen learned how to turn imagination into global franchises.

His company went from humble beginnings to billions in revenue, with characters that reached kids in over 150 countries.

This is a story about missing, learning, moving fast, killing what does not work, and betting on what feels like magic. Because sometimes the thing that hurts the most becomes the reason you win.

Omar Soliman started with his mom’s cargo van, a friend, and an idea most people would have laughed at: haul other people’s junk for money.

His first customer handed him $250 - more money than he felt he had ever seen at once - and suddenly the future looked different.

What followed wasn’t overnight success. It was two decades of recession, COVID, hiring mistakes, franchise growing pains, reinvestment, and years of barely paying themselves.

Then came Shark Tank. Omar and his partner were offered $250,000 for 10% of their company - and walked away.

Today, College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving generates roughly $300 million in systemwide annual revenue, after raising minority capital at an approximately $140 million valuation.

In this episode, he breaks down what changes from $0 to $1M, $1M to $10M, and $10M to $100M+, why the wrong people are one of the most expensive mistakes in business, and why resourcefulness will beat resources almost every time.

Ken McElroy didn’t start as a billionaire real estate mogul.
He started as a property manager, cleaning units, painting walls, and watching someone else’s bank account grow.

One day, sitting across from an owner he’d just made rich, he realized he was on the wrong side of the desk.

That moment turned a W2 mindset into a $2 billion real estate empire.

In this episode, Ken breaks down how he went from managing apartments to owning over 10,000 units, why he thinks a “safe job” is actually the riskiest move, and how he uses billboards, debt, and tax strategy to pull millions out of his assets—tax free.

He talks about the real risk of bad people, bad partners, and bad managers,
the painful road to 300 employees and 90-minute workweeks, and why his definition of success is as simple as a text from his son.

This is not a hype story.
This is a blueprint: cash flow over capital gains, environment over ego, and legacy over income.

He was 15 years old when everything collapsed.
His father died… and weeks later, he was homeless.

No money. No guidance. No system to save him.
School had taught him how to get a job, but he couldn’t even get one.

So he made a decision most people never make:
No one is coming. It’s on me.

With just $200 and pure survival instinct, he built his first business.
It failed. Then he built another. And another.

Today, he’s worth hundreds of millions… and has invested in over 80 companies.

But the real story isn’t the money—
It’s the mindset that turned desperation into dominance.

At 35 years old, Mike Wystrach had $15 in his bank account, no home, a failed business, and a $1 million judgment hanging over him.

Ten years later, he had built Freshly into one of the fastest-growing food companies in America and sold it to Nestlé in a deal valued at $1.5 billion.

But the part that matters happened before the exit.

Mike had spent years failing, losing confidence, getting rejected by investors, and questioning whether anything would finally work.

Then he rebuilt the way he thought, became obsessive about execution, and created a company that eventually delivered more than 1 million meals every week with 2,500 employees.

In this episode, Mike breaks down the mindset shift that pulled him out of his lowest point, the Facebook strategy that fueled Freshly’s growth, why founders need the right people around them, and what he learned after selling for more money than he once imagined possible.

Jhalesa Seymour started with $67, no entrepreneurial background, and a problem most people were too uncomfortable to talk about.

From a college dorm, she began making feminine hygiene products by hand and giving samples to friends. Within months, customers were fighting online for inventory and 18,000 people were hitting her website at once.

She became a millionaire at 25.

But explosive growth came with brutal lessons. At one point, 20,000 customer orders disappeared after shipment, forcing Jhalesa to drain her reserves, remake every product, and fight to keep the company alive.

She survived it, scaled beyond $20 million a year, and eventually generated $1 million in just 30 minutes.

In this episode, Jhalesa breaks down the mentality, marketing, money management, faith, hiring, and relentless resourcefulness behind building an eight-figure brand without a mentor or traditional business background.

She thought she was selling soap. What she actually built was confidence, community, and a company she believes can become a global billion-dollar brand.

Dariush had the life most people chase: money, status, a growing empire.
Then one night, men walked into his home and put a knife to his neck.

They didn’t just threaten him. They threatened his kids.

The fear didn’t end when they left — it followed him into a heart attack, isolation, and the collapse of everything he built.

With his bank accounts frozen and his world shrinking, he made a decision most people never recover from.

He walked away, landed in Dubai with $750, and started knocking doors like a nobody.
No safety net. No perfect plan. Just sales, values, and brutal personal accountability.

He built again — bigger — stacking companies by solving real problems and charging what results are worth.

This episode is about rebuilding after trauma, pricing with self-worth, and choosing time over ego.

Because the real flex isn’t money. It’s earning a second chance and not wasting it.

Dr. Jason Wersland nearly died after T-boning a car on his motorcycle, flipping over it, and landing on the freeway.

The accident left him in severe pain, searching for relief that his own chiropractic clinic could not provide.

That search led him into his garage, where he built the first Theragun prototype using a modified jigsaw, a bolt, and a foam ball.

His father called the idea crazy. Friends told him to quit. Multiple business partnerships failed, and for years, most people did not understand what he was building.

Jason kept going, treating one person at a time until athletes, practitioners, and investors began to see the potential. What started as a homemade tool became Theragun, then Therabody, a global wellness brand used by millions.

This is a conversation about pain, invention, persistence, betrayal, brand building, strategic partnerships, and why the hardest moments can lead to the work you were meant to do.
