Apple Is Trying to Kill OpenAI Right Before Its IPO

Apple just declared war on OpenAI. In a federal suit filed Friday, Apple accuses OpenAI of stealing its hardware IP at industrial scale — pulling in Sam Altman, Jony Ive's team, and hundreds of ex-Apple engineers — landing what looks like a kill shot right as OpenAI prepares to go public. Tom and Drew break down how ugly this gets, why Elon jumped into the fray, and what it means for the AI device race. Plus: the strange signal in the oil market that suggests a recession quietly started a year ago, the cruise missile Palmer Luckey is building on car-factory assembly lines to deter China, and the US–Canada trade war nobody saw coming.
